Despite the rainy day, many people came out to join EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, Mayor Adam Ortiz, the Chesapeake Bay Trust, and state and local officials for a groundbreaking and "walking tour" of our innovative Green Street Project which will transform Decatur Street into the greenest street on the east coast. The ceremony also featured the project contractor (a Prince George's-based and minority-owned company) and workers put to work through President Obama's recovery program. Several local officials and dignitaries attended the event including EPA administrator Lisa Jackson, Congressman Chris Van Hollen and Congresswoman Donna Edwards.
